Romina Salem Taborda was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1972, where she currently lives and works.
Graduated from the National School of Fine Arts “Prilidiano Pueyrredón”, in Buenos Aires, Salem Taborda has attended workshops with Diana Aisenberg and Tomás Espina. She was also awarded the Sculpture Scholarship with Nicola Constantino at the Borges Cultural Centre, also in Buenos Aires.
After traveling to India and Japan in search of printing techniques, she discovered that her journey into textiles was just beginning. In 2015, after exhaustive research on fabric and dyeing treatments, she launched AGAVE, a textile project that studies nature as a form of expression, relying on color, texture, and shape.
